Power your stride

FEAtured exercises

Heavy Glute Kickback
How it helps your run
Your gluteus maximus and hamstrings are your engine for forward motion. Together, they drive hip extension, fueling the force that launches you into your next stride. Strengthening these muscles boosts your speed and power output, while also taking pressure off your knees and lower back. The payoff: a stronger, more efficient stride and lower risk of injuries.

Bulgarian Split Squat with Rotation
How it helps your run
Your glutes do more for your run than you'd think. The gluteus medius and gluteus minimus stabilize your hips, keeping them level so your knees don't cave and your energy doesn't leak with your stride. The gluteus maximus drives hip extension, generating the power behind each push-off. Together, they improve your form, boost your efficiency, and lower your risk of overuse injuries like IT band syndrome and runner's knee.

Deadbug
How it helps your run
As you run, your abdominals and hip flexors work together to drive your knees forward and keep your torso stable. A strong core prevents your trunk from twisting or sagging, which in turn allows power from your lower body to translate efficiently into forward motion. Strong hip flexors help you lift your knees higher and quicker, improving stride turnover and speed. Together, they help you run with better posture and reduce strain on your lower back and hips.

Kneeling Lat Row
How it helps your run
Your lats play a key role in arm drive and posture. Strong back muscles help stabilize your torso and control rotation, keeping your upper body efficient instead of wasting energy on excess movement. They also support good posture over long distances, helping you stay tall and avoid the slouch that creeps in as you become fatigued.

Single Leg Kneeling Hamstring Curl
How it helps your run
Your hamstrings generate the force that propels you forward. They also control your leg as it swings forward and decelerates before each foot strike, protecting your knees from excess impact. Strengthening your hamstrings will improve your speed and power while lowering your risk of strains and injuries to the tendons in your legs, which are some of the most common running ailments. The result is a faster, more resilient stride built to handle the miles.

Sumo Inner Thigh Squat
How it helps your run
Your inner thighs help stabilize your hips and control side-to-side movement. When they're strong, they keep your legs tracking efficiently instead of wobbling or collapsing inward, which protects your knees from excess strain. Strengthening your adductors also improves your push-off power and lateral stability, especially helpful on turns or uneven terrain. The result is more control over your strides and a lower risk of groin strains and knee pain.

Single Arm Triceps Kickback
How it helps your run
Your triceps power the backward swing of your arms, which helps set the rhythm of your pace. That arm drive carries momentum through your whole body, especially when you're pushing for speed or climbing a hill. Strengthening your triceps helps you maintain better pacing and transfer energy more efficiently, so your form holds up over the distance.

Kneeling Cable Rotation
How it helps your run
While running, the obliques control rotation through your torso, keeping you stable as your arms and legs swing. That stability preserves the energy needed to carry you farther. Strong obliques also protect your lower back when fatigue creeps in and form becomes more challenging. The payoff is a better stride and reduced risk of lower back pain.
