The [dedicated] people who keep our studios thriving
Where are you from?
I am from West Grove Pa! It’s a small town just outside of West Chester where the grass is green and it smells like cow [sh*t]
How did you get into [solidcore]?
I have been active my entire life. I started dancing when I was 8 years old and continued through college at the University of the Arts where I got a BFA in Dance Performance. After graduation I was looking for my next challenge in the fitness world and I got that AND more with [solidcore]. I can tell you it has truly changed my life!
What are your hobbies outside the studio?
I love me a good happy hour. If I am not at the studio, you can find me with my roommates and the next best happy hour with a good IPA or some tequila. I am also extremely close with my family. We love spending time together at my parents house or down at our beach house in Bethany Beach, DE.
What will clients get in the studio that may be unique?
Growing up with dance in my life I learned a lot of discipline and hard work. You are going to get a CRAZY amount of discipline in that studio. If you like to sweat and if you like to be pushed further than ever before then come on in. Solid hard work – come for a good time but stay for a butt-kicking, sweat-dripping, non-stop class! Plus, you’ll get to do all of this around a warm and loving community of people!
What should clients expect to sweat to?
So it’s probably so old school of me to say this but I still download music as listen to it via iTunes. Basically anything and everything Ellie Goulding makes my day 100 % better!!
The studio managers at the day-to-day operations of the studios as well as mentoring, coaching and encouraging our clients.
Allison came to DC in the Spring of 2011 from Connecticut with a packed car and a Saint Bernard. With a job at lululemon she was introduced to many different workouts and always wanted to coach but never truly felt the connection to the workout in that way. Fast forward a few short years Allison found [solidcore] and quickly fell in love with not only the workout and the mission, but the family of coaches too. She quickly joined coach training and the rest is history!
She now lives in NOVA with her family. When she’s not at the studio she’s chasing around her two small children ages 2 and 3. She enjoys football Sundays, a good rose, and naps with her dog, Lucy.

Artemis brings her energy, intensity, and dedication to hard work from Washington, D.C. She received a graduate degree in public health and upon entering the corporate world, she realized that she needed an outlet to unwind and compete with her inner athlete. She took on opportunities in the fitness world and never looked back.
Since Artemis was five, she has played sports; including swimming, volleyball, crew, and collegiate rugby. Soon after, she became a certified spin instructor and started teaching cycling all over the city. As much as Artemis loved the gym and hitting the weights, she realized she needed something more, something different to keep her body strong. She discovered [solidcore] after hearing about it from her sister. Artemis was addicted after her first class, discovering muscles she didn’t realize existed. She loved being challenged to push her body to new limits.
When Artemis is not in the studio coaching or taking class, you can find her spending time with her husband trying new cooking recipes or planning their next international adventure.

Kelly grew up on the eastern shore of Maryland with her parents and two younger sisters. She loved playing sports as a kid, swimming and playing lacrosse until graduating from high school. After college she attended the University of Maryland, College Park and graduated with a degree in exercise science. After college she moved back to her home town where she was a wellness coordinator for a manufacturing company. In August of 2014 Kelly moved to Virginia to broaden her fitness career.
Kelly is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and has also taught multiple modes of group fitness. She took her first [solidcore] class over a year ago and has been [addicted] ever since. After taking the class for a few months she jumped at the opportunity to coach the class she loved. She has been coaching in Virginia since June 2015.
Spending time with friends and family, summer days spent on a boat, and a good marg are some of Kelly’s favorite things! Fitness has always been a part of her life and she loves mixing up her workouts with spinning, yoga, and interval training.

Natalie grew up in Hagerstown, MD. She is the middle of 5 children and loved growing up in a bustling and exciting household. Natalie began taking dance classes at a young age and continued dancing through high school. She also was a cheerleader all 4 years of high school and captain of the squad her senior year. Natalie attended the University of Maryland in College Park and graduated with BA in Communications in 2009. After graduating from college she made a living bartending at a college bar (shoutout to The Cornerstone Grill & Loft aka The ‘Vous) while exploring her passions. Eventually she found group fitness was the only way she herself could stay motivated to exercise and wanted to turn her love of group fitness into a career. She began instructing barre and indoor cycling.

Erica grew up in small-town, south Louisiana – literally on the bayou! She moved to DC to attend Georgetown University and has enjoyed living and working in DC for the last 15 years.
Erica took her first [solidcore] class at the Shaw studio in June of 2014 and was immediately addicted! After 4 months of taking class, she took the leap into coach training. Erica has been coaching at Mt. Vernon since January of 2015 and is super excited to now be managing both the Shaw and Mt. Vernon studios! She is thrilled to be turning her passion into a career – combining a decade of experience in account management at various DC startups with her love of the [solidcore] workout, clients and fellow coaches.
When not in the studio, you can find Erica exploring bars and restaurants around DC, traveling everywhere and watching bad reality television.

Alex is a Philadelphia local, growing up just outside of West Chester, PA. She is bringing all the [shakes] to Philly as she opens the first PHL location. She graduated in 2015 with a BFA in Dance Performance from the University of the Arts right in center city. After entering her first professional dance company at the age of 19 and her first fitness job in Philadelphia at the age of 20, she knew she had picked the right path in life. Following graduation, she ultimately decided that the fitness world is where she truly wanted to be.
Alex grew up with her older brother and younger sister – YES, she has middle child syndrome. She has always been active, even in college dancing everyday; she was still at the gym about 5-6 days a week. Constantly looking for the next best thing to strengthen her physically and mentally she came across [solidcore].
She took her first [solidcore] class at the Adams Morgan location and felt right at home. She loved the workout for all of its aspects; the sweat, the burn, the challenge, but the atmosphere is what really differentiated this space from the rest. Great music, an upbeat and empowering instruction along with a class filled with motivating and hardworking clients is all it took to keep her wanting more. Alex is beyond excited to join the team and bring this wonderful and fun workout to the city of Philadelphia!
When Alex isn’t coaching or breaking a sweat at the new Philly studio, you can find her at the best happy hour in the city with her roommates and friends. If tequila doesn’t do the trick that day, you may find her catching some sun with her family at their beach house in Bethany Beach Delaware. Cheers to the city of brotherly love!
